Account

How do I create an account?
On iOS, open MindType and choose Continue with Apple, Continue with Google, or Continue with Email. The form asks for your first name, date of birth, residency city, and an optional social handle. Those four signals are what we use to map your behavioral identity profile.
Can I change my name, birth date, or residency city later?
You can update your name, handle, and residency city from Settings → Profileany time. Date of birth is locked after sign-up — people don't change their birth date in real life. If you entered it wrong, email support@mindtype.io and we'll fix it within one business day.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings → Account → Delete account. Your account and reports are removed within 30 days. In-app purchase records are kept longer to meet tax and legal requirements — see the Privacy Policy for the full retention schedule.

Subscription & billing

What do the three tiers include?
  • Explorer — $14.99 / month or $149.99 / year. 5 personal decodes per month + a light Mind Coach.
  • Decoder — $29.99 / month or $299.99 / year. 15 decodes + full Mind Coach + Mind Match for any relationship.
  • Intelligence — $49.99 / month or $499.99 / year. 50 decodes + unlimited Mind Coach + full Mind Match.

Annual plans save the equivalent of two months versus monthly.

How do I cancel my subscription? (iOS)

Apple manages all iOS subscriptions. Cancel from your iPhone in four steps:

  1. 1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
  2. 2. Tap your name at the top of the screen.
  3. 3. Tap Subscriptions.
  4. 4. Tap MindType, then Cancel Subscription.

You keep access until the end of the current billing period. Auto-renewal must be turned off at least 24 hours before the period ends; otherwise the next period will be charged. We can't cancel iOS subscriptions for you — Apple is the merchant of record.

How do I cancel a subscription bought on the web?
If you subscribed at mindtype.io, go to Settings → Billing in the web app and click Cancel subscription. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period.
Can I get a refund?

For iOS subscriptions, Apple handles all refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Refunds are at Apple's discretion and may not be available.

For web subscriptions, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your first paid period, provided you have not run any scans during that window. Email support@mindtype.io.

Reports & the Mind Coach

What is a Personal Decode?
Your Personal Decode is the first report you generate — a multi-card view of your behavioral identity profile. It explains what drives you, how you tend to show up, where you grow, and what kind of people you connect with. You can revisit it any time from Reports → Your Personal Decode.
What is a Mind Match?
A Mind Match compares your behavioral identity profile with someone else's. Same lens for any relationship — partner, friend, parent, coworker, ex. You enter the other person's first name, date of birth, residency city, and (optionally) social handle, and the report tells you where you fit, where you collide, and what to do with the difference.
How is the Mind Coach different from a chatbot?
The Mind Coach is a large-language-model assistant that has been given your behavioral identity context — and if you're asking about someone else, theirs too. It uses the same framework as your reports, so what it tells you is consistent with the rest of MindType. It is not a therapist, not a medical professional, and not a financial advisor.

Privacy & data

Do you sell my data?
No. MindType does not sell, rent, or share your personal data with data brokers or advertisers. We do not use your data for cross-app advertising. Read the full Privacy Policy for specifics.
Where can I see exactly what you collect?
The Privacy Policy has a table of every data item we collect, why we have it, and how long we keep it. The list matches what is declared on our App Store listing.
How do I request a copy of my data, or delete it?
Email privacy@mindtype.io from the address attached to your account. We respond within 30 days. EU, UK, EEA, Swiss, and California residents have additional rights described on the Privacy Policy page; we honor them globally.

05 · Troubleshooting

Troubleshooting

I can't sign in. What now?

First, try these:

  1. 1.Make sure you're using the same sign-in method you signed up with — Apple, Google, or email + password aren't interchangeable.
  2. 2. If you signed up with email, use Forgot password on the login screen to reset.
  3. 3. Force-quit the app (swipe up + flick MindType away) and reopen.
  4. 4. Update to the latest version of MindType in the App Store.

Still stuck? Email support@mindtype.io with the email tied to the account.

Restore Purchases isn't bringing back my subscription.
Make sure you're signed in to the App Store with the same Apple ID that bought the subscription. Then in MindType, go to Settings → Subscription → Restore Purchases. If the subscription is still not recognized after that, email support@mindtype.io with your Apple ID email and we'll reconcile it with Apple on our end.
