This policy describes who MindType is for, how we detect abuse, and what happens when a scan is blocked.

1. Who MindType is for
MindType is a behavioral intelligence platform. It is designed to be used on real, identifiable people — yourself, your partner, your colleagues, your clients, your candidates.
You may not use MindType to scan:
- Fictional or made-up people
- Celebrities, public figures, or people you do not personally know or have a legitimate reason to understand
- Pseudonyms, fake names, or deliberately altered identity information
- Anyone under the age of 18
2. Why real data matters
Every MindType scan is a behavioral decode built from real personal inputs. Altering, fabricating, or randomizing those inputs produces meaningless output and devalues the system for every other user. Submitting false information is a violation of this policy.
3. What we detect automatically
We run automated checks on every scan submission. These checks look for patterns consistent with abuse, including (but not limited to):
- The same identity reused with small variations in name or location
- Identical data submitted from multiple accounts on the same device or network
- High-volume scanning of many different identities in a short time window
Detection runs silently. We do not disclose the full list of signals we use.
4. Consequences of abuse
If a scan is blocked by our systems, you will see a short notice and no report will be generated. The scan credit, if applicable, is consumed. Repeated abuse may result in:
- Account flagging for manual review
- Temporary suspension
- Permanent account termination without refund
5. Refund policy
Blocked scans are not refunded. Credits and subscription payments are not returned when a scan is blocked by this policy, and we do not issue partial refunds for account actions resulting from abuse.
6. Good-faith exceptions
We recognize that legitimate edge cases exist — identical twins, legal name changes, recent relocations, or you genuinely re-scanning the same person in a different context. If you believe a scan was blocked in error, please contact us at support@mindtype.io. We review every manual request within 2 business days.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be announced on this page. Your continued use of MindType after changes constitutes acceptance.
