How MindType handles people.
MindType is a behavioral intelligence platform. It gives you tools to understand how people operate — how they make decisions, communicate, and behave under pressure. We want to be direct about how it works.
What MindType is
A tool for understanding people better. That includes yourself, your relationships, the people you work with, and the people you are about to meet for the first time.
The core decode runs from four identity inputs: full name, city, date of birth, and one contact detail. No surveys. No participation required from the subject for the base result.
What MindType is not
We are not a surveillance platform. We do not track people, monitor behavior over time, or build ongoing profiles without your knowledge as a user.
We do not sell your data. We do not share decoded results with third parties. We process what you provide to generate a report — that is the full scope of what we do with it.
Two ways to use it
MindType supports two modes of use, and we are transparent about both.
Private decode.
You run a decode on someone using their identity inputs. They are not notified. This is used for sales intelligence, pre-meeting preparation, candidate screening, and personal due diligence. It is the same category of research that professionals have always done — now faster and more structured.
Mutual decode.
You invite someone to participate. They submit their own inputs or complete the optional Precision Assessment. Both parties can share results. This is the most accurate and the most powerful mode — and it is how we believe most personal and relationship use cases work best.
You choose which mode fits your situation. We give you both tools.
Claim your profile
If you want to take control of your own behavioral identity on MindType, you can claim your profile.
Claiming your profile means:
- —Your name is registered to you in the system
- —You control visibility of your profile
- —You can choose to make your profile shareable — or private
- —You can see when someone has requested a decode on you (paid accounts)
- —You can set a preference that directs decode requests to a consent flow instead of running silently
Claiming your profile is free. Identity verification is required — you can only claim your own identity, not someone else's.
For paid account holders
If you have an active paid account and have claimed your profile, you gain additional visibility:
- —See when a decode has been requested on you
- —See approximate location and timing of requests
- —Send a consent request back to the person who initiated the decode
This is identity intelligence applied to yourself. Know who wants to know you.
Our position on responsible use
MindType can be used privately or openly. We do not restrict private use — that is your responsibility as the person running the decode, governed by applicable law in your jurisdiction.
What we do commit to:
- —We will never build features designed to facilitate stalking, harassment, or targeted harm
- —We gate sensitive intelligence types (Sales Intelligence, Retention Intelligence) to business accounts where a professional context applies
- —We actively build tools that make open, consensual use easier — because mutual understanding produces better outcomes than one-sided intelligence
MindType is a layer that sits before human interaction. We believe that layer should make interactions more human, not less.
